Interested in pursuing music at Tilton School? Whether or not you already know how to sing or play an instrument, there are plenty of new offerings available!

Women’s Choir: The Women’s Choir meets on Monday evenings at 6 or 7 pm (depending on formal dinner). It is open to all female vocalists on campus, student or faculty. They sing during music department performances.

National Anthem: This is an opportunity for students to sing the National Anthem in an ensemble setting before select athletic events. Their next performance will be at Powder Keg. There are also opportunities for students to sing solo, following an audition.

Individual Lessons: Mr. Sheehy teaches piano, alto saxophone, and clarinet lessons during after school times as part of the +5 Program.

Student Recital: (Date TBD) All students taking instrument lessons and others interested may perform at this event. There are required auditions and rehearsals leading up to the event.

Winter Musical: This winter Tilton’s theater department will be producing the music, “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”! If you are interested in acting, there will be auditions on November 15th from 3:30 to 5:30. There will be slot sign-ups earlier that week, during which monologues and songs will be provided and a dance number will be choreographed and taught as part of the audition. Also needed: A student production team to help design props, costumes, lighting, and sound.
